About Cykelaktion Stockholm
Cykelaktion Stockholm uppmuntrar alla stadens cyklister att sista fredagen varje månad samlas på Medborgarplatsen för att delta i en spontan cykelfest. Firandet är en critical mass cykling, vi samlas 17:30 och börjar cykla 18:00. Slutdestinationen kommer oftast vara Cykelcafé Le Mond, men vilken väg vi tar dit varierar.
Critical Mass är ett globalt evenemang som vanligtvis hålls den sista fredagen varje månad där cyklister och andra aktiva trafikanter går ut på gatorna i massor. Konceptet är att agera och visa vår synlighet genom att återta det offentliga rummet, vägar och gator.
Även om den ursprungliga idén var att uppmärksamma hur ovänliga städer är mot cyklister, gör den ledarlösa strukturen i Critical Mass att det är omöjligt att tilldela ett specifikt mål. Faktum är att syftet med Critical Mass inte är formaliserat utöver den direkta handlingen att mötas på en bestämd plats och tid och cykla som en grupp genom stadens gator.

Cykelaktion Stockholm encourages all the city's cyclists to gather at Medborgarplatsen on the last Friday of each month to participate in a spontaneous cycling party. The celebration is a critical mass cycling, we gather at 17:30 and start cycling at 18:00. The final destination will usually be Cykelcafé Le Mond, but which route we take there varies.
Critical Mass is a global event typically held on the last Friday of every month where bicyclists and other self-propelled commuters take to the streets en masse. The concept is to take action and show our visibility by reclaiming public space and streets.
While the ride was originally founded with the idea of drawing attention to how unfriendly cities are to bicyclists, the leaderless structure of Critical Mass makes it impossible to assign it any one specific goal. In fact, the purpose of Critical Mass is not formalized beyond the direct action of meeting at a set location and time and traveling as a group through city streets.
