This is only half the ride. Phone battery died. Image from riding partner is correct! This was a spectacular route. Never been so cold on a ride coming down. Finished at 17:30 and sun was gone.
Not a cloud in the sky. Hung out with some lamas. Highlight was the happiest eatery called La Monella on Lago Pistino. Sat outside, sunny, perfect.
First flat ride ever below 500 meters elevation. Rode through unflooded rice fields. So many floating thick spider webs in the air. Like cotton candy. Beautiful variety of birds and field rodents. Incredible uninhabited castles and huge properties where the deer live in the winter.
Beautiful ride. But I've concluded that 18 inches of leaves on bumpy steep single tracks is definitely not my favorite.
Back to Monferrato for the winter. Back to the slimy thick oily mud! Cold. Ice on some of the mud.
Single track down hills for most of the descent was a little above my pay grade! Trails covered in leaves so you can't navigate the rocks and debris. Very steep in some areas.
Some very steep uphill segments with large rocks. Visited 2 churches, one with super curious friendly cows. A varied ride from paved to single track. Loved. Probably last ride in the valley. Moving the rides to Monferrato for the winter.
