A momentous last ride- started with rain and heavy fog, a river to ford and then clear bright sun and the blue hills of home. Pushing myself and the bike to our limits as we summited santi Petri and then cristobita came in sight- i arrived home, safe and sound- a brilliant end to a great adventure!

Wow! That was a test of the bike and me- 20% incline on boulder path. Had to get off, could hardly push up such steep rugged terrain. Komoot also tried to get me up a tiny goat path. I dont call that touring!!! But i did it. And luckily a shortish ride but probably the most mountainous to date! Arrived

A great days cycling- very easy along the cycle track which is the old olive oil train route. Lots of bridges straddling gorges and endless vistas of olive groves and mountains. Met cousins Matthew and Miranda Eden at old railway station restuarant and finally ended up in old hotel and plunged in pool

Komoot does silly routes thru towns - best to check route first. Also directed me along massive fast road when there was a bike track not far away

Really lovely ride through Guadalhorce valley to the lakes and El Chorro gorge. Stayed at the Ermita near the gorge
