This tour was a lot of fun.
We went with road bikes and slick tires which definitely weren't the ideal choice. Gravel bikes are perfect here, because there are some unpaved segments. Mountain bikes and Touring bikes also work well, but you have to plan in more time.
With our bikes we could handle everything
