Said to be the steepest hike in the NP. But was totally fine, nothing like Rockies or Alps. Horses allowed :-)

The trail starts as grasland and then transitions into a real trail. Per mid April of course still extended streteches in snow cover, which was a fun plus. Just before approaching the frozen lake it was easily waist deep, if not more.
Was short on time, otherwise would've continued via Fern lake for a loop hike.
