Great ride through some of the best the Peak District can offer. Challenging in parts but well worth the effort. Helps when the weather is a good as it was this day!

A great circular tour from Heathcote taking in Milldale, Alstonefield and Hartington. Only the latter gravel section after Hartington requires a mountain bike and can be avoided by sticking to the road. Long steep climb from Milldale to Alstonefield but rewarded with a long downhill section practically

Three Shires Head is stunningly beautiful but can get very busy, so recommend arriving early to avoid the crowds. The final descent to Three Shires Head is quite technical and the path out has lots of loose rocks too, but a fun ride!
