After breakfast, we took the bus to Rennsteig station. It is one of the highest located train stations in Thuringia. The hiking route leads along an old railway path past Frauenwald and the Rennsteig pond. After the hike, we stopped at the forest restaurant "Bahnhof Rennsteig".
