Lots of tarmac today. Beautiful weather, blue skies with a little breeze. More Cranes! Stopped at the oldest school in Sweden which is now a cafe - so had to stop for a lesson in eating cake. We cycled on for a couple of hours till we found a lakeside lunch spot in the sun - for tuna and cheese paste

A great day’s riding today. We packed up early - leaving no trace and had breakfast of pre packed cinnamon rolls and instant coffee (bike packing eating seems to be whatever will squash into your bag!). Today was hard. 66 miles on a grey, cold day. We cycled out of town and were soon on single, muddy track by the lake a mix of hiker biker and cycling. The lake was close but hidden. I was looking forward to today skirting by the lake but we didn’t see a lot of it. Today’s birdlife were more Cranes and

Rained during the night and again this morning. After a quick breakfast we headed out up and down hills through forests. The rain got heavier and heavier and our spirits dipped just as we found an amazing lunch stop in a big music venue/barn serving delicious food which lifted our spirits and charged

Woke up early with the sunlight and seagulls. Packed up the tent and left no trace. Cycled for a short while then came across a barn serving breakfast. This area is remote so eat when you can! Next stop Trosa for supplies. Beautiful small town wirh a fantastic bakery for lunchtime sandwiches. Followed

We left the Sunlight Hotel later than planned - 2pm due to persistent rain. They are looking after our bike bags till we return - thank you! We woke up surrounded by Barnacle geese. Seagulls had serenaded us all night. Great campsite with good facilities. Our usual breakfast of instant sachet coffee and dough ball puffs scoffed down at speed. We set off - up the hill finding the busy restaurant and lovely deli/supermarket where we bought
