Empty, I mean, absolutely empty mountains. No one, not a single human around. We were greeted by beautiful clear skies and a warm morning sun!

Hiking and ski touring up the rest of the road and the mountains to the hut. Which we were still not entirely sure if it is occupied or not.
We invented the term “gravel ski touring” because at times that’s exactly what we did. The number of times we went on skis and removed it is impossible to count

With skis on the bikes, 🚵🎿 We cycled up the closed mountain road for as long as the conditions allowed. Making our way to the mountain hut.
When the roads started being covered in snow, we pushed the bikes till we reached a village. Then it was over for biking, we changed into skiing gear, left the

Descending the rest of the way down, mostly reminiscing, slowly processing the adventure of going up to the hut and coming back to the comfort of the two wheels and a handlebar.
