Wow you've almost made it.. just one more action packed day and you've completed a though tour around the Monterosa massif! Leave early as this is your longest trail (24km). Just know that the paths feel relaxing with few short climbs but long descends. The crossing of the europabridge is a unique fun

If you're feeling recharged and you're fine handling some trails that are approaching alpinist level, than you might just like me be curious to go as far as you could come on the ascend to the Dom. Just be aware that the path isn't that easy. Up to the Domhütte it is well defined, with all kinds of handles

Include this stage in your hike if you planned Grächen - Europahut in one day. For me it was a short hike from my bivak last night to the Europahütte, giving me a chance to recover a bit, do the much needed laundry and have a short hot shower. The hut is very nice, but can feel crowded as i didn't experience

The official TMR trail takes you from Grächen to the Europahut mostly over the Europaweg. This trail can't be followed as the first section of the europaweg is permanently closed for about 2 years now. Both Komoot as my Suunto didn't know this and i was lucky to read about it on a hikersblog just before

Allright buckle up, this trail is gonna make you sweat! Especially if you camped at Saas-grund. Expect some long narrow steep paths crossing about 5 rock avalanche prone sections. Ropes to grab, and nerves to keep. There is not much place to sit down and rest, but the views are great and makes you feel

Finally back in Switzerland, feels like you are on the way back to Zermatt. Today offers an easy descend to Saas-Grund, but first more than 200 steps need to be walked up to the golden Madonna of passo Monte Moro. Take your touristic pic and descend towards the Stausee Mattmark. This will be the largest

Today it's back to a climb only stage. From Macugnaga it's up to the rifugio Oberto. I can't really tell much about this climb as it was misty and cloudy and a thunderstorm was approaching, so i had no time to stop. Only thing i can see that it felt like a brutal climb, but i guess that's the consequence

This trail has an impressive start walking towards the huge Monterosa massif. It really feels enormous from the start of the hut. Above the trees you'll have a great view at the landscape on your back and dont be surpised to encounter some mules and ibexes. After the top, colle del Turlo (2738) a descend

Today's stage is a short one, which could feel like a resting day. A short climb from Alagna to Rifugio Pastore shouldn't take too long, so you might want to explore Alagna before you start your trip. The hike isn't that spectacular compared to the other days, but the arrival at the rifugio makes it
This section offers some relieve starting with a modest climb followed by a long not too steep descend until you reach Alagna. If you ran out of water don't worry there is a though looking but very kind shepherd who is happy to fill your flask, otherwise nearly on all the trails you can fill your watersupply
