Start and end point should be chosen in the farmers cafe Morsberg - worth a visit. The hike is easy to walk with two slightly larger climbs. For the Ordensburg Vogelsang and the place Wollseifen you should schedule sightseeing, so that you should expect for the whole tour rather just under 5 hours. At the time of the Ginsterblüte the tour is also very nice.

We parked the car in Leutesdorf at the station and took the train to Bad Hönningen. From there, the "Rheinsteig" is perfectly signposted. Beautiful, versatile tour with a view of the Rhine, the forest and orchards. To Hammerstein but you need because of the many starts and descents already 3 hours and it is also exhausting. After stopping at the Weinhaus Zwick with its beautiful beer garden you can decide: either two and a half hours further along the Rheinsteig with two large, further climbs - or the idyllic and scenic very beautiful way to Leutesdorf directly along the Rhine in one and a quarter hours. Tip: the other stages of the Rheinsteig are also beautiful.
