The walk starts from outside the Rose and Crown pub on Crown hill in Ashdon, a village near Saffron Walden; and takes in rolling hills together with a 18th century windmill and some very interesting Roman burial mounds dating from the 1-2nd century AD.

A walk from SW Cambridge near the Biomedical campus and then head south, along the Addenbrookes - Great Shelford Cycleway, towards Shelford. You may stop for refreshments at the Three Horseshoes pub in Stapleford.
Continue walking south along the A1301 (Cambridge Road) out of Stapleford until you come to Bridge…
