Vanaf ons moderne Hotel Comwell Aarhus Dolce by Wyndham loop je in 10 minuten naar het centrum van Universiteitsstad Aarhus. Het rondje wat we ‘s middags liepen langs de Oostzeekust voerde eerst langs een ouderwetse hippie enclave voordat we ons in het Rome en Parijs aandoende studenten kwartier stortte. Na een paar prachtige straatjes kom je uiteindelijk langs de terrassen van de Aarhus River. Happy hour bij Cross Café tot 17.00 is best handig. Jonge studenten serveren in de restaurants, spreken beter Engels dan ik en zijn de vriendelijkheid die we bijna vergeten zijn. Aarhus, stukkie rijden maar zeer de moeite waard.
