The Höllentalklamm is certainly an experience. The further way - always uphill - demands a little endurance from the children. With enough breaks and scenic, gastronomic and scientific interesting places and attractions but well laid back to the top. (Höllentalklamm incl. Small museum, Höllentalangerhütte, miners / old tunnels, Hupfleitenjoch, Geologischer Lehrpfad) If you are not afraid of mechanical descent, do it in one day, otherwise spend the night on the Kreuzeckhaus.
Anyone who is prepared to embark on the descent to mechanical descent, here has a half-day-filling stage. For children from 5 years easily feasible, if there is enthusiasm for climbing and exercise. Equip children above the scree with climbing harness and via ferrata set and secure accordingly!
Alternatively overnight at the Munich house, if the hut tour should continue. The night at just under 3000m is for us flat land rats but not very relaxing, if the holiday and the acclimatization is only short.
A short and crisp climb. Arrival in the morning - depending on the start. For children then in good weather a relaxing afternoon at the Knorrhütte. Or opportunity for an easy hike in the direction of the crucifix in the direction of Gatterl with a view of the Reintal.
