You can walk here when the military aren't using it but be warned you can enter from the Hythe side, but you can't get out from the Dymchurch end without ignoring warning signs and risking broken limbs crawling over huge boulders.
The section by river in Aylesford looks paved on map but is really muddy. Aylesford to Burham has good safe path but a bit dull. Windmill to Robin Hood was good but watch out for motorbikes. The section of NDW was just a boring disused lane with flytipping mud and puddles. I would consider doing it

The last 2 miles walking by the road before turning around was dull, but the fish and chips in the pub was worth it. I would do it again at low tide as maybe there would've been more hard sand to walk on rather than shingle.
