Very nice trail from Attinghausen to Engelberg via Surenenpass. The trail is easy, no technical or exposed parts. The first 3 hours are very demanding going from roughly 500m to 2200m in altitude.
The sign in Attinghausen says 10 hours hike to Engelberg. We were on the trail incl. pauses for exactly
Amazing and very challenging hiking day.
We started the hike around 10 in the morning. The first part, Rute del Cares, is a beautiful and easy hike. Even though this trail is a bit more touristic, it was not too crowded. Roughly 2.5 hours later (including plenty of photos), we had lunch in Cain.

We took the cable car from Fuente De and started from the top. Weather conditions were not optimal, quite foggy, and even heavy rain every now and then. We started hiking around 14.30 and finished in Poncebos around 21.30. In total you decent more than 2,000m
