We stayed the night at the wonderfull en luxurious DNT cabin. Coming there in the rain the day before - lots of mud and slippery rocky path next to the lake - it was a treat to experience the route in full sunlight. What a great place.

We started the trip dry. But during the hike it started raining. The already muddied path got even muddier. The last part, along the lake, was a touch one. The path that was part of the rocky mountain that sided the river, consisted primarily of rocks. Now slippery because of the rain that was still getting stronger. This part took us 2hrs and 45 minutes instead of 30 minutes. Ones we made it to the luxurious DNT cabin, torched up a fire and cooked good stirdy meal... everything was forgotten. This is the best part of a long or challenging hike. The next day we where to return in the sun.

See the larger version of the hike on ut.no. The actual starting point is where the end point is...a parking space at the side of the road. Nice steep hike with clear path en big slanted rock parts to walk on. Parts of the route have rope to help you up or down. The end view is marvelous.
