40 km drove quite well. I'm gradually getting used to the new, hard saddle. It should be the Kirchhellener Heide with the beautiful autumn weather. Before the kiosk at Heidhof closes again soon, I had to try a game cakes again. Super 😋

Today I didn't want to step on the pavement a lot or hike on soggy, muddy ground. A hike along the canal was a good idea again. Was quite comfortable to walk. And there were countless bridges to marvel at. I watched the ships waiting to enter the lock for a while. I already got ideas for the next trip to Oberhausen on a rainy day: the new exhibition in the Gasometer, the memorial hall by the castle and the art exhibitions there.

After almost 3 months of compulsory break, I jumped on the new saddle for my first shorter tour today. It's tough and has to be settled in first. In addition, it is different on a saddle without a "nose". I still have to get used to it. But it went pretty well and I am confident that I will soon be able to do longer tours again. The tour itself was quite nice. The photo is typical of my situation: With patience and spit ...

A beautiful autumn day. So the hiking boots had to be laced in order to try a new loop on the Ruhrhöhenweg again. First it went from the Bochum-Dahlhausen train station along the banks of the Ruhr to the railway museum, from there quite steeply uphill to the lookout point at Haus Horst. There the actually planned route directly down to the Ruhr was blocked. I suspect it has to do with flood damage. But the alternative wasn't bad and so I found myself in a nice little beer garden just before the Ruhr Bridge. The route of the Ruhrhöhenweg on the opposite side of the Ruhr was then no longer so varied. It was more than a kilometer along a road on which I had to constantly avoid oncoming vehicles. But there was pure industrial history at the former Altendorf train station. The kilometer parallel to the towpath in front of the bridge to Dahlhausen is very nice. Recommended tour. Low shoes completely sufficient.

On the recommendation of my innkeeper, I hiked up to the Milderaunalm. I could have taken the climb in between, but I didn't dare because I was on my own for a long time. The catering on the Milderaunalm is highly recommended. The way back via the toboggan run (forest path) via Milders was once again of the kind that stretched over many bends. So it was more than 600 meters downhill and more than 15 km, which my knees didn't find that tingling. All in all, a hike that would certainly be more varied for more demanding hikers over the steep path.

A very recommendable, relaxed hike through the Telfeser meadows to the Stockerhof and back. Only the steep section downhill behind the Stockerhof on soggy ground was not so pleasant, but after about 10 minutes it was overcome and then it was always nice and parallel to the railway line back to Telfes. Fantastically clear air with fantastic views.

Actually, I didn't want to go downhill that much. But whenever I came near a bus stop, I saw the bus leaving, so I hiked all the way down the Wilde-Wasser-Weg from the Mutterbergalm, initially in a light drizzle, then later under cloudy skies. I was almost alone at the Grawa waterfall. Unfortunately, the Tschangelaier Alm was closed due to a lack of staff. I had to continue to the Doadleralm until I could have something to eat. From there I actually wanted to catch the next bus, but as I said, I missed it and it went on until the end. I didn't want to wait for a long time because it was quite fresh. You'd better keep moving. Now I'm done for now.

I really wanted to do this hike during this vacation. I can go uphill better than downhill. So it went from the Bruggeralm on the Scheibenweg and then over the path of the senses up to the Schlicker Alm. The cows were just being prepared for the cattle drive. Unfortunately I didn't get any really in front of the lens. After a long rest on the alpine pasture, I took the nature adventure trail with many breaks at the individual stations to the summit station at Kreuzjoch. All in all, despite the steady ascent, a comfortable tour in a grandiose scenery. Highly Recommended. For those who like it and would like to strain their knees, even downhill!

This hike was recommended to me by my host. The path of reflection has it all. The stations were very convenient for me to take a breather, but it's a super nice way. The Issenanger Alm was just right for an extended break. The last section on the forest path up to the summit station of the Elferbahn was a real challenge in terms of stamina: It dragged on and pulled itself over a total of 7 hairpin bends. In the end I was pretty exhausted.

This hike to Maria Waldrast is on the program of every one of my holidays in the Stubai Valley. I have to go there every now and then to say thank you and draw new strength. Away from the hustle and bustle of the church and the restaurant, you can pursue your own thoughts on the path of creation ...
