A very beautiful autumn hike for getting to know the Thuringian Forest. The excellent Rennsteinweg trail is more for cyclists, but it's also a feast for the eyes for hikers. We hiked the trail from Finsterbergen to the quarry and took the same route back because it suited us so well and represented exactly half of the route.
