De rivieren: Kleine Nete, Netekanaal, Rupel en Schelde
Ideal biking weather:20°C, a gentle breeze and sunny. With nice backwind from Viersel up to Boom - a nice stretch of 50k on mostly perfect tarmac. The beer in « boekenhof » was welcome.

Bossen, villawijken, velden en water: Zoersel, Westmalle en het kanaal Dessel Schoten
Passed by both some real wow real estate (renoved farms with some land and horses) and nouveaux riche monsters that are out of place and date. The first ones are worth a fortune and second ones are worth pennys.

Some country side near by A’en, a nicely meandering Kleine Nete with good tarmac and a drink/snack in Duffel.

A’en Wommelgem Zoerselbos Westmalle en via kanaal Dessel Schoten terug.
Very nice weather and equally bad legs. Some smaller parts on gravel.

A’en Brasschaat Heide Putte en via F14 terug naar A’en.
Beautiful biking weather in Belgium. Tried the new cassette (30-16). It’s more adapted to my driving style and the gear steps are very close. I like it.
Enjoyed some nice « aspergus a la Flamande »: very simple dish: white aspergus with eggs and butter. Heaven…

De Schelde en een beetje Durme
Bijna 100% degelijke fietspaden: ringfietspad, de wase polders, de durme en miabrug en via Mariekerke terug. Met 3 boottochtjes ertussen. A day out on the bike well spend. Feels like holiday @home.
