Getting there from Eugene on a bicycle is mostly on busy roads and highways. Some shoulder, but cars still wizzing by you at 55 - 65 mph. It goes pretty fast though. Richardson campground is nice. They have no hiker/biker or walk-up sites. It's by reservation only or you can chance it by walking in

This is not an "Easy" loop. Going up Couger Crest is all up hill and is mostly a "rock garden". You will be pushing the bike most of the way.
