Abstieg vom Cova-Krater ins Paul-Tal - Água das Caldeiras - Cha de Figueiral / Boca di Figueiral - Cabeça de Figueal - Quintal

Lange, fordernde Wanderung vom Cova-Krater tief hinab ins abgelegene Paul-Tal. Der historische Steinpfad führt durch landwirtschaftlich geprägte Täler mit Zuckerrohr, Bananen und Papaya bis zur Siedlung Quintal. Von Quintal aus kam glücklicherweise ein Sammeltaxi was uns das letzte Stück zurück zur Unterkunft gebracht hat. Besonders anspruchsvoll sind der lange Abstieg und die Hitze im unteren Tal. Gute Kondition sind zwingend notwendig.
