Nel pianificare questa escursione il meteo rappresentava una grande incognita. Sapevamo che proprio sopra Lecco oggi ci sarebbe stata un brutta perturbazione che avrebbe portato una buona dose di pioggia. Il rischio di dover rinunciare in partenza era abbastanza alto. Questa mattina di buon'ora io e il mio compagno di scalate decidiamo di raggiungere comunque il parcheggio presso il Rifugio Roccoli Lorla e di tentare il Legnone. La giornata è fredda e nuvole minacciose, ma ampiamente attese, ci accolgono alla partenza dal sentiero. E, infatti , dopo nemmeno mezz'ora di cammino siamo costretti a trovare riparo all'Alpe di Agrono basso per via della pioggia decisamente insistente. Stiamo lì circa mezz'ora e non appena il meteo ci concede un pò di tregua riprendiamo il cammino sul sentiero che non presenta in realtà grandi difficoltà tecniche fino a quando non arrivi all'escursione vera e propria ovvero gli ultimi 450mt di dislivello che si districrano tra roccioni, catene e parti attrezzate che ti fanno capire che la vetta del Legnone va meritata. In più, il vento e il freddo che ti costringono a trattare il sentiero, e la montagna, con il giusto rispetto. Ad un certo punto il cielo si apre e ci mostra un pallido sole che ci fa vedere la croce di vetta ormai raggiunta. Croce che ho abbracciato e ringraziato. Dopo esserci coperti per bene e aver consumato un veloce panino al salame ci incamminiamo per la discesa che ci ha regalato un paio di piacevoli incontri con dei bellissimi stambecchi.
