Yes, Carnival inspired me to present this little extra.
Tenerife is a major destination when it comes to Carnival. Unlike in Germany, Ash Wednesday doesn't mark the end of the festivities here; in fact, it marks the beginning of the street carnival. Everything has a distinctly Brazilian feel, from the

We took the 325 bus to El Molledo at 9:00 AM. Today's hike was a bit shorter because the sun was stronger than expected, and we didn't want to risk getting sunburned. We caught the 325 bus back from Santiago del Teide around 1:30 PM. All in all, a pretty nice hike. Here's a photo from last night. In

Take bus 325 from Puerto de la Cruz at 9:00 AM. Return with bus 360 from Los Llanos at 3:45 PM to Icod (change buses).
The hike is very beautiful, and there's only one steep climb. Otherwise, it's an easy hike. Unfortunately, I had connection problems, so it looks like I flew. Use the map for the routes

Take bus 363 to San Pedro. The hike then follows the coastal path Rambla del Castro to the Hotel Maritim in Puerto de la Cruz. Passing Punta Brava with Loro Parque, you reach the town. The hike offers stunning views of the rugged cliffs.

The last stop on the trip is Funchal (Madeira), discovered by a Portuguese explorer in 1419. (See picture.)
The city offers several sights, such as the houses decorated with blue tiles.
You can get around by tuk-tuk, and I can't remember if I went to the "bar." 😆

Las Palmas, the largest city in the Canary Islands (over 300,000 inhabitants), is a must-see when you're here. It's practically unavoidable, since the ships arrive here.
Las Canteras beach is really beautiful. Unfortunately, the weather is quite sour, unlike usual. What can you do?
Tomorrow's a sea day

This is my first time on Lanzarote. I cycled along the beach on a rented bike and ended up near the airport. I stopped to take photos at scenic spots along the way. It's striking how all the houses are painted a brilliant white – a beautiful sight.
