I have been cycling all my life and I love to ride. I am 62 now. In 1983 I took off with too much weight and rode 450 miles from LA to San Francisco. Into a head wind. I jettisoned 10 kg of weight and learnt you do not need much stuff. I cycled 500 miles in Alaska and then took off to Europe. Scotland to Greece , then did France to the Soviet Union. In total I cycled 20,000 kms including NZ, Tasmania, Everett to Jasper Alberta and Banff to Montana and Idaho. Had kids amd thwarted any future plans for more - but had my heart set on cycling Japan. Now, I live in Bali. I cycle every 2nd day - early morning and hoof it up the Tampaksiring Hills, exploring the Subak, rice field trails, farmers tracks and little village gangs. Life is pretty sweet . I am on a Trek, a full suspension mountain bike. I love it !! My bikes name is called Big Blue .
