Cheddar YHA, Middle down & western Gorge loop
This route takes a less busy route from Cheddar Youth Hostel up to Middledown Nature Reserve, through Black Rock and then back onto the western side of Cheddar Gorge. The west side gives the best view of the cliffs and opportunity to stop at Lion Rock viewing point for photos.
