To the remains of the castle fairly easy. The way back, more of a track than a path, was very difficult to follow in places.

from Alcalali to and through Barranc del Negre and back, circular hike
Mostly comfortable little roads. Wonderful views all around. Rocky old footpath through the Barranc del Negre, a beautiful small gorge.

The hard way with an old footpath up the mountain. Excellent views. Mountains around and the sea not far away.

Castell de Guadalest
Tourist trap but worth a visit. Beautiful old fortress village, grounded in the 12th century. Try to be early in the morning or off-season. Parking 2 euro and old mansion and castle ruins 4 euro (summer 2026).

l'Atzubia circular hike
Beautiful little hike. Small roads and an old footpath. 27 °C and 85% humidity which made it extremely sweaty.

la Vall d'Ebo gorge, circular hike
Hiking partly through the dry river bed of the Riu Girona, the beginning of the barranc de l'Infern.
