The bridge is a small pedestrian bridge over a gorge & river(access is now closed). Access is via an unmade road, for ~5 minutes and then ~25 minute walk up a narrow track past a farm house. Follow the track down to the river look for a green arrow. It’s is recommended to park near a junction where the horses are in the field.

Walk from The Lakes Distillery car park, then cross the road to walk through fields Bassenthwaite lake and Banks Point then over Ouse Bridge. The highlight is the stop by the lake at the midway point.
