Make sure you have boots if there had been a lot of rain as stepping stones can disappear . We took out shoes off as very deep when we went across!!
Caves very impressive
Route up to loughrigg fell is hard to follow as it is through ferns as you can see from my route . At end of coffin route which is

Great walk although at the end to avoid busy section of road i would turn and repeat last piece back to campsite.
