A new, albeit unfinished, cycle path winding through the Sava Bohinjka river valley offers a perfect alternative. Although officially still a construction site, most of the route is already rideable and provides an unforgettable cycling experience with stunning views. The path is mostly paved and well-maintained, featuring a wooden fence in many sections, ensuring a high level of safety and comfort. It follows the emerald-green Sava Bohinjka river, offering picturesque views of the water, the dense forests, and the surrounding hills. On your bike, you can peacefully enjoy the sounds of nature and immerse yourself in the greenery, far from the noise of cars. Despite not being officially open and with construction still ongoing in some parts, many cyclists are already using it. Be mindful of any warnings or signs, as you use the path at your own risk. Once fully completed, which is expected in the coming years, this route will not only provide a beautiful, but most importantly, a safe connection between these two jewels of the Gorenjska region.
