Central Deeside is full of magic. Neolithic stone circles, Macbeth, witches, fairies and even a fertility stone. But mostly it has beautiful locations and magical views. A network of volunteer groups (Mar Paths Forum) are trying to improve paths and link it all together. This route follows their vision as best it can but is currently quite challenging in places. It could be a multi day MTB trip with stops at the fabulous trails in Tarland, Ballater, Aboyne and Banchory.
