Free layby parking on Low Sleights Road. Follow the well maintained stony track after crossing the road and cross through fields until Great Douk is signposted. Detour to the cave, blocked by a huge boulder, before crossing limestone pavement and more fields to join the steep path up towards the ridgeline that leads to the summit of Ingleborough. The summit of Ingleborough is a flat plateau with a trig point and after retracing your steps, head down the stepped path to get back onto the main path back to the parking area. On a nice day there are excellent views over to Ribblehead viaduct, Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, Morecambe Bay and even the Lake District.
