Some tips that might be of help!
1. Plan as much of your route as you can beforehand. There are no route markings on Benbulbin.
2. Get there early as parking at Luke's Bridge can fill up quickly, especially at weekends.
3. Parts of the route are quite wet and boggy, even in summer, so I would recommend

Did this in a hurry on our last morning as had to get back in time for the ferry. Misty and showery, so there were poor views of the north side of Clew Bay. Would like to return and take some time to do this loop properly.

Walk around Glenlo Abbey grounds (around the edge of the golf course). Nice views of the Corrib River. Path is dry and solid so only trainers required. Walk is on private property so I think you have to be a guest.

Walk through Clonbur Woods with an occasional glimpse of Lough Mask. Manageable in trainers, especially in summer. Lots of long straight sections and not a great variety of scenery.

The majority of this walk is on quiet country roads. If you do it anticlockwise then there are two short trail loops at the end to finish the walk.
