SWSC Cycling Group trying out this route for the first time in March 2026. Starting from between Kimberley College and Stewartby Station on Green Lane. A fun mixed route of flat, bumpy & steep terrain with plenty of opportunities for pushing hard on the ups and speeding the downs. The main hazards being dodging tree routes and sandy pits at speed in the woods and on the golf course. But not advisable after wet weather unless you like mud. Begins on gravel paths passing Stewartby Lake, then there’s a 1 mile flat road section with a short steep turn at Millbrook test track. Beware that we missed a few turns around Centre Parcs by the A421 and needed to double back. Next time we may circle the lake again for coffee and cakes at the Marston Forest Centre Café. This was one of the most challenging routes we’ve tried so far but was great fun.
