GTJ day 5: Pontarlier to Morez
I switched from the European Divide Trail to the Grande Traversée de Jura for two days. The EDT was likely to take me back into the snow and I didn't want to push my way through snow again. So I chose a safer option. A bit duller, but still a nice route.

EDT day 4: Sancey to Pontarlier
A remarkably easy stage of the European Divide Trail. Finally some downtime at the campsite. Tomorrow I will switch from EDT to the Jura Grande Traversée, which is on roads. I'm not looking for more hike-a-bike through more snow. The elevation is higher here than in Vosges, so I'm switching to JGT to make it somewhat doable.

EDT-ish day 3: Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle to Sancey
The EDT is amazing, but after four hours of biking I had covered only 25 kilometer. So I used a cheat code and took a train for the middle section. I have to get to Valance by Friday, so I am trying to stay on my (way too optimistic) schedule.

North of Paderborn the EDT goes through forests that are a military shooting rang. The route was closed, so I had to take a detour of about 20km.
