About Roberto A.
Bike slow and enjoy the ride. I bike commute to work, I run errands on my bike, and I ride with friends whenever I can. Bike packing, bike touring, gravel biking... you name it. Did the Seattle to Portland ride in one day back in 1986. Cooler heads prevail now, so I did it in two days in 2024. Rode from Beverly to Puget Sound on the Palouse to Cascades trail in 2023 to celebrate recovery from my fourth knee replacement. Plan to ride the Olympic Discovery trail soon. Pedal on!

Can stay at Log Cabin Resort at Lake Crescent (difficult to book). If car-supported, can backtrack to Port Angeles area for hotel. Or... camp at multiple locations along the way.

Five of the six trolls in the Greater Seattle area are part of Thomas Dambo’s Way of the Bird King exhibit, a collaboration with the Coastal Salish tribal communities. The other troll (the OG) has been under the Aurora bridge since the mid-80's. These are the trolls:

2.5 miles East of Ralston there is a detour around the Cow Creek Trestle, which is destroyed. The detour is open only March 1-October 31 yearly. Follow the white sticks. It's worth it to follow the trail to Rock Creek bridge through the rock structures before doubling

Othello to Warden, follow the irrigation canal. At Warden and again at Lind, stock up on supplies - you will need them! Ralston Memorial Park has camping spots, restrooms and water.
