The hot springs in Sykes are worth every foot of the quite strenuous 10 mile hike. Rightly called the "elevator" hike because of its numerous ups and downs, this trek takes about 6 hours (including stops) to get from the Big Sur station to Sykes Camp and about 5 hours to get back.
