Lena Sjoo

I was born in Sweden but I live in the north of Spain since 1990. My first solo trip was with 16 years on a train ride to Germany. When I was 22, in 1987, I grabbed the Mongolian train to Beijing. I met a guy from Bilbao and we bought a couple of bikes ( I was brought up in the countryside I've been biking since I was a kid) that brought us through China, Taklamakan dessert, Kunjerab pass to Pakistan , Iran, Turkey, Greece, old Yoguslavia, Italy, France and in to the Bask country. A year and a half on the road...and of the road...😅Since then I've done several other trips. At the moment on a year trip with my partner Beatriz. We've done Turkey (where a motorcycle hit me and ended up 5 weeks fixing my knee). From there we wanted to continue through Iran but not a good moment to do so....Ended up taking a flight to Krabi, south Thailand. Later Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam. Taking it easy. Planning a Vipassana retreat of 21 days...No hurry what so ever. Not counting kilometres...just enjoying life.
Since 1990 I've traveled extensively through this countries as well as Africa, Europe and South America, New Zealand, Australia...On a bike but also backpacking, hiking, motorcycle through Vietnam (1992 cooperation on the first guide book written in Spanish, Ed Laertes). Worked as well for 17 years as programmer and tour leader for Años Luz travel until 2007.
I just love to travel 😊 I feel very very lucky !!!!!
