The tour starts at the parking lot of the Neustadt forest bath and takes about 2 hours at normal hiking speed. It takes about 1 hour to get to the dam wall, from there it takes about 35 minutes to the Hohnstein castle ruins and about 15 minutes to the parking lot at the Waldbad.

By car from Täsch to Täschalp (narrow road - largely only passable in one lane). From there walk to the Täschhütte. Overnight stay at the Täschhütte. Get up at 2:00 a.m., breakfast at 2:30 a.m., leave at 3:00 a.m.
