This route takes you from Folkestone Harbour Arm and down into The Warren, along the beach to a point that would be just past Capel le Ferne if you were up on the cliff. There’s a bridge which will take you over the railway track, into dense bush for a steep hike up to the top of the cliff. It’s very steep and slippery so you need good shoes! At the top there’s a bench for a beautiful view and a rest, you then make you’re way through fields and woodland, past West Hougham and on to Alkham, finishing at the Marquis of Granby pub for lunch! There’s a nice little disused church along the route, and some lovely wildlife (cows, sheep, goats).
