Eingabe: Bodo Schwarzberg https://www.facebook.com/share/14N3UMftUEN/

For the 17th time, I hiked 101 km non-stop around the 7-Lakes region south of Markkleeberg in Saxony for the 7Lakes Hike event. I don't usually like mass events, but I enjoy going here because the former mining area has become so green, and the thousands of participants and volunteers are so nice and friendly.

The longest section of the 53rd South Harz Hundred, which we completed almost without a break, mostly at night.

This second leg of the tour included less-traveled areas of the Harz Mountains, which, unfortunately, are often poorly, incompletely, or illogically signposted or marked. Komoot is quite useful here. But we used to be able to do without it.

The current 100 km non-stop hike, which I organized and led, took in two striking lookout towers in the southern Harz and Kyffhäuser region, the Josephskreuz and the Kyffhäuser Monument, on a completely new route. Start: 9:30 a.m. at Berga-Kelbra train station in Kelbra, finish: 11 a.m. on April 6th

The admittedly short section bypasses the Knauf quarry in Old Stolberg at the 53rd South Harz Hundred. The 100 km route ultimately runs from Berga-Kelbra Stolberg-Josefskreuz-Neutadt-Nordhausen--Auleben-Kyffhäuserdenkmal-Berga Kelbra. 5th and 6th April.

Another 100 km, continuous walk from Nordhausen to Halle is history: frozen ground instead of mud, moonlit night instead of flashlight, 8 starters in total, 5 finishers over 100 km

Almost exactly two years to the day after the first Hiddensee hike, here is a new edition. I only left out the areas such as the Gellen in the very south because of the national park. The weather was cloudy and partly rainy and windy. The path along the beach towards the southern tip with the small lighthouse
