Long days and hills! The temperature dropped to 5 degrees Celsius and we were wearing about everything we had!
We decided to take on the challenge to do a long day in order to have a night staying inside a cottage. We were done with camping as the days were cold. The route had three bigger climbs.
The

The sun rose very early, and we weren't even sure if it had gone down. As it seemed like the day was warm and the tents were heating up in the early hours of the day.
The route was going past few lakes and right before going down to the coast and Alta, there was a long section through the canyons. It

The last country, the last days! We were getting so close.
Once we arrived to Norway it felt like the landscapes changed so dramatically. We could see far in the horizon, there were plenty of fells and the roads were even longer and straight.
Our lunch stop was perfectly in Kautokeino where we also had

Our last day in Finland, cycling next to the big fells of the national park was humbling and made the mind wander on top of them.
We did our best to look for anything on the way, but the first grocery shopping possibility we had only at the 75km mark, so we had just big amount of snacks with us.

Now we really started feeling the Lapland vibes with all the fells and shorter trees. Our destination was Pallasjärvi, in the Pallas-Ylläs National Park. Fells also meant we had some climbs we hadn't had for quite a while. Oh boy, that downhill was amazing afterwards.
We were quickly done for the day

After we managed to pack our stuff and resisted taking the puppies with us, we hit the road. The day was cold and some rain showers caught us. Although it was rather short day, but felt much longer than it was.
We made it to Kittilä for lunch and kept out of the rain inside a cafe. The lunch was extended

On our day off we met Santa Claus! He told us that we had been good. Brilliant news for Christmas.
The road ahead was easy and, no surprise anymore, straight forward. The reindeer game was strong, as they were everywhere.
The surprise for the day was our lunch stop at a local grocery store and cafe. It

This day was both cold and long! We started to feel the repeating roads and landscapes, and each of us were using music or podcasts to keep on pedaling.
The music gave the boost needed to cycle through the rain showers.
We found a cottage at a lake where the sun was shining and we could have our lunch

One straight road and reindeer on the way! We experienced the way of traffic is in Lapland. Sometimes you just need to wait for the reindeer to make their way off of the road.
There was barely anyone else on the roads. To have a little change from the main road, we took a detour along the smaller gravel
The road to North Cape, our final destination!
Our morning started with some drizzle and a little fog. The route was along the fjords the whole day. It included a few shorter tunnels, that was a nice practise for the big tunnel that takes us under the sea to the Honningsvåg island and North Cape. We highly
