I am a tech community and programming education facilitator in Timișoara/West Romania.
Of course, I used to move around on two wheels as a child, but my cycling life restarted pretty recently, in 2018, when I had my driving license suspended for couple of months for a minor fault (note to self, find that policeman and pay him some beers!).
Since then, my car is long term parked, as I started buying and using bikes for the daily job comute, for weekend rides with my lovely wife, Maria or for longer (200-300 kilometers) travels to honour speaking assignments in TEDx or other types of events.
Currently, I am planning my first ultracycling experience, aiming to cover together with Maria a 3800 km riding from NordKapp in Norway to home. Pretty sure this will be just a beginning, so subsequent plans to ride from Timișoara to Southernmost point of continental Greece and to cover in one or two rides the Istanbul - Cabo de Roca distance are already in the back of my mind!
