May 22/17 I was 53, post surgery, mild mci, borderline diabetes, feeling sick, all bloated like it’s now or never, so down came my vintage green norco kokanee road bike from the rafters of my shed in “strome alberta”, hosed off the bat shit and cobwebs and started to ride again.
Let me tell you the 2.3k return trip to the post office almost “killed me”
Now I’m closing in on 60yrs old and on my 7th bike, riding 100k days “easily”
I’m unable to operate a motor vehicle, in the best shape I’ve been in since I was 40 and back to “loving life again”
I’m now “seriously” toying with the idea of riding from “port angeles to point loma” this fall ‘24.
