I didn't feel safe continuing our tour on US12, so we ended our guided route and choose to use this alternate route.

With the exception of a couple of bridges, this route is flat and efficient. However, US12 can be busy and the speed limit for motorists is higher than my liking. This route has ample room on the shoulder for most of the way, however, as we approached Michigan City, I didn't feel so safe traveling

I very much liked this tour. Traveling through long beach and Michiana Shores via Lake Shore Drive is especially nice. Depending on your cycling level, this route could be challenging. There are some hills and it proved to be a little tiring for my nephew, but I think this route is well worth the

I read on your site that you have rode the Erie Lackawana From Hammond to Crown Point. I am planning to ride around Lake Michigan next Spring. I did not want to follow the lake route through the Industrial area of Whiting or has this area changed since I last rode there in the late 80s?
You mentioned
