Great hill to climb especially if you go by train to garsdale head. I just did a straight up and down rather than the circular as it was forecast rain around 11. It was a bit boggy but not soaking wet feet. A bit bleak walking up but the views of the other dales 30 are fantastic

I did this as part of the dales 30. (22/30) Great hike. Easy to navigate and follow, except for the wall just before the summit of plover hill (if that's all you are doing) but if heading straight on for pen-y-ghent then wall is not a problem as there is a stile. Amazing views of Ingleborough and whernside from the back. A fantastic route for pen-y-ghent without the crowds
