When I did this (lovely) walk in March, the sections across the ploughed fields were heavy with thick clay, and very uncomfortable walking. My feet felt as heavy as lead weights by the end, and my walking boots needed serious hosing and brushing. So maybe best as a summer walk, not after wet spring weather.
