Nice route, but quite steep coming down, so if you are not confortable with that, go back the way you come up. Lovely views and a nice easy walk until you get to the bottom.... its steep up and down.

Nice easy pathway, great for prams and bikes, etc. nice tea room at the end for coffee and cake, pubs also in the village of Threlkeld. This route also includes a detour into Keswick so the actual route is less, unless you fancy nipping into Booths!

Nice few hours. Its not as easy as it looks with a bit of scrambling, but lovely to be by the lake.
