Another amazing ride! Plenty of climbs made it a tough and long day, but the reward came with epic, smooth-surfaced descents. Just one short goat track section where we had to walk—otherwise a brilliant route!

One of the most beautiful rides I’ve ever done—winding through lush tea estates with sections that feel like MTB trails. Lots of climbs, including a solid 23 km ascent up to Nuwara Eliya. Absolutely worth it!

Today’s ride was a challenging climb up Mount Knuckles.
The first 60 km offered smooth, flat roads along picturesque lakes and rivers — a truly scenic start. The initial section of the climb transitioned to gravel, followed by a rough bitumen surface. The ascent included some extremely steep gradients

Today’s ride was easy to intermediate. We spent around 2 hours exploring Sigiriya, a stunning 5th-century rock fortress built by King Kasyapa—definitely worth the stop! The road surface was in good condition throughout, though traffic picked up near Minneriya National Park, so caution is advised in that area.

Today’s route followed mostly quiet back roads through the beautiful countryside, with a few short stretches of hard-packed gravel to keep things interesting.
Stopped around the 75km mark to explore Yapahuwa Rock Fortress—a fascinating site that once served as one of the fleeting capitals of medieval

Though climbs but worth it.
The road is traffic on the road but okay for cycling , vechiles and trucks slow down and provide space when passing.
Arranged with Vietnam Cycling Tours for transport back to Hanoi, and they pack and box our bikes ready for the flight back home

Very nice scenic ride with two big climbs.
At Muong pass through town for 5km to Thanh Bihn Hotel, this is the only hotel in town area.

Last day of the tour—pleasant ride with undulating hills through the countryside. The final 30 km had heavier traffic and lots of buses, but it still felt safe to cycle. What a fantastic week of bikepacking! 🚴💓
