The country lanes connecting these villages are very quiet and pretty. Thakeham has a good community cafe. The bridleway between Storrington and Pulborough can get a bit muddy but a track posing past farms and a golf course.

Flood plain. Beautiful area. Best avoid the South Downs Way bridleway after flooding though. We had to push our bikes through mud and puddles and took much longer than if we'd taken the road route through Houghton Bridge. Villages were lovely.
